The Spot Light is the most common type of garden lighting. Either fixed upwards like the Lux Modux Micro Spot and the Hunza Spike Spot or with an adjustable lamp head like most outdoor lamps in this category. This enables perfect alignment of the light cone. However, these are completely unsuitable on lawns as maintenance is disrupted and the risk of damage to the cable or light body is very high.

The aluminum housings should not be damaged by machines or tools as the protective layer prevents corrosion of aluminum and the injured areas will be affected by "pitting".

Use copper or chrome steel housings in exposed locations.
